The BMW X2 Concept was the star at the 2016 Paris Motor Show in September, and potential buyers will be happy to hear that the BMW X2 will remain largely unchanged in terms of production. The exclusive image we have previews the car, which promises a similar profile to the X2 concept and many of the details remain similar too in terms of the sporty looks.
The large wheels, the stylish headlights and mirrors may not appear from the concept, we have learned to expect the kidney grille to remain from the concept, along with the aggressive kink to the rear window line. There will be a roof spoiler and rising waistline that neatly transforms into slim tail-lights.
The BMW X2 will share the same engine as the BMW X1 in petrol and diesel spec, which means it will have four cylinders and also turbo charged. However, there could be front-drive sDrive 18d, but most X2s will have xDrive four-wheel drive.
We also understand that a sports M-spec high-performance version of the X2 is in the pipeline. However, that would be powered by an updated version of the 2.0-litre petrol engine, and the car could carry the BMW M25i badge.
The BMW X2 production of the car will be completed at the end of 2017, but deliveries to be expected at the beginning of 2018. Moreover, prices are expected to be positioned in-between the current X1 and an all-new BMW X3,
Keep up to date with developments of BMW X2, here at AutoExport we will be keeping close tabs, with the BMW X2 thats set to be launched towards the end of 2017 early 2018.
